Geologic Time: BLOCK 16

There is old. Then there is REALLY OLD!


The primary defined divisions of time are eons, in sequence the Hadean, the Archean, the Proterozoic and the Phanerozoic. The first three of these can be referred to collectively as the Precambrian supereon. Eons are divided into eras, which are in turn divided into periods, epochs and ages.


ASSIGNMENT:

1. Watch each of the following videos. Write a summary of each of them, being sure to discuss the primary topic of each one. Include and highlight the most important vocabulary in the video.

2. Complete Sections 12.1 through 12.4 in the Guided Reading and Study Workbook.

3. Complete the WordWise exercise on page 95 of the Guided Reading and Study Workbook.

4. Complete any Quiz Questions included in this Block.
