Weathering, Soil & Mass Movement


This Mass Moved!
The transfer of rock and soil downslope due to gravity is called mass movement. Most landforms are caused by both weathering and mass movement. Among the factors that commonly trigger mass movements are saturation of surface materials with water, oversteepening of slopes, removal of vegetation, and earthquakes.


ASSIGNMENT:
1. Watch each of the following videos. Write a summary of each of them, being sure to discuss the primary topic of each one. Include and highlight the most important vocabulary in the video.

2. Complete ALL Sections from chapter 5  in the Guided Reading and Study Workbook.

3. Complete the WordWise exercise on page 41 of the Guided Reading and Study Workbook.

4. Complete any Quiz Questions included in this Block.
